WHERE: North Oakland Community Charter School, 1000 42nd Street, Oakland
WHEN: Monday April 2 - Friday April 6, 9am-4pm.* Sign up for 1 day or multiple days!
HOW MUCH: $90 per day or $425 for the week. Financial Aid is available.
*Doors open each day at 8:30am. Aftercare is available until 5:30 for an additional $25 a day.

SAY YES TO THEATER - Monday, April 2nd
Girls will make a play in one day and share it with YOU! They’ll take risks, make friends, and be the stars of the show. Every girl gets a trophy to celebrate her power to say yes and try hard things.
GIVE & TAKE THROUGH MUSIC - Tuesday, April 3rd
Girls will use their voices to learn, sing and write songs. They’ll give you an end-of-day concert you’ll never forget! They’ll take in your applause. Every girl gets a songwriting journal to keep expressing who she is through music, poems & art.
***Guest Stars: GRAMMY-nominated Kaitlin McGaw & Tommy Shepard of the Alphabet Rockers will get kids moving through music that matters
MAKE MISTAKES WITH MESSY ART - Wednesday, April 4th
Girls will make a huge mess and have the best time doing it. They’ll dig in with their hands and practice letting go of perfect. Every girl gets multiple art projects to take home and remember how beautiful making mistakes can be. Includes an end-of-day art show!

FEEL THEIR FEELINGS BY WRITING BOOKS - Thursday, April 5
Girls will dive in to our Go Girls! Library and notice the different feelings a character goes through on their journey. They’ll develop original stories, using writing & drawing to notice, feel and transform big feelings. Each girl gets to take home the book she makes herself! Includes an end-of-day book reading.
***Guest Stars: Radical Children’s Book Authors, Laura Atkins, Zetta Elliott and Kate Schatz will share what they write and why. Girls get a glimpse at the next book in Kate’s Best-Selling series and hear all about what RAD girls can do!
TAKE CENTER STAGE IN MEDIA THEY MAKE - Friday April 6
Girls will learn media literacy, online safety and basic media production- all while making a short film of their own. Each girl gets a “GIRLS MAKE MEDIA” shirt to keep. Includes an end-of-day screening with popcorn!
***Guest Stars: Real girl media-makers, of course! Teen girls from Camp Reel stories & Go Girls! Productions will be there to talk about how they got started in film. Professional make-up artist, Janeece Marmolejo, will be there to add sparkle & spectacle for girls who want it!
